Workshops with Theatre Junction's RCA

Just want to drop a line to everyone about the December workshops at Calgary high schools, lead by our Resident Company Artist members Mike Tan, Ian Kilburn and Raphaele Thiriet and accompanied by myself. We visited 4 schools in total (Western Canada, John Diefenbaker, Henry Wisewood, and Bishop Carroll) and engaged drama students in a number of activities and discussions designed to inspire their creativity as well as inform them about the RCA, Theatre Junction GRAND and Theatre Junction – who we are, what we do, and why we do it. In addition, students were offered the chance to see any of the three remaining shows of the season for $10.

All of us were impressed by the maturity, openness and intelligence of the students and enjoyed engaging them in conversation about art and theatre. A big thanks to Mike, Ian and Raphaele who did a great job leading the workshops and to everyone else who helped to make it happen.

If you or anyone you know is involved in drama, dance, or music studies at the high school or university level, or attends any sort of arts class and would like Theatre Junction's RCA to provide a free one hour workshop, please let me know.
